E³ joins the dots with Building People

We have signed up as a supporter of the pioneering community interest company (CIC) to help increase diversity and drive collaborative change within the built environment sector.

Building People creates connections to address industry challenges in skills, diversity and social impact.

It is committed to developing a built environment sector that improves social and economic value by being better connected and more diverse and inclusive.

Through collaboration and innovation, it connects diverse people with career opportunities and enables employers to widen their talent pools to attract and retain a more diverse workforce.

E³ Director Nicky Oliver said: “E³ Consulting is proud to become the first industry SME supporter of Building People.

“This is very much a natural continuation on the path we have already taken in supporting diversity and inclusion.

“Our values are very closely aligned with Building People and I hope we can also provide a fresh point of view and valuable insights from the SME perspective.

“We’re looking forward to developing a mutually beneficial relationship and aim to play a full and committed role in the movement for change being led by Building People.”

Building People’s website is a free to use platform that aggregates careers information and activities, enabling people to find knowledge, vacancies, events and support.

It includes listings of organisations and businesses, mentoring opportunities, ‘ask a person’ advice, activities, events, work opportunities and resources.

Founder Rebecca Lovelace said: “We are thrilled to welcome E³ Consulting to Building People as our first industry SME supporter.

“We are looking forward to working closely with all at the business to create many more connections and address the challenges faced by the industry in skills, diversity and social impact.

Rebecca launched Building People in 2018 with founding partners, University College of Estate Management, the Chartered Surveyors’ Company and the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust. Building People has over 30 industry supporters, including the British Property Federation, the BRE Group, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Hollis, Home Builders Federation (HBF), New London Architecture, Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Rider Levett Bucknall, the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), Savills, Turley and the Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants.
