Welcome to our Winter update!

I am sure that many of you, like us, dearly hope that the forthcoming General Election helps to facilitate a swift completion of the BREXIT saga – so that we can all move meaningfully forward from the recurring ‘Groundhog Day’ turmoil!

Since our last missive I broke my ankle and now Todd is recuperating from a broken leg, from playing rugby, and innovative surgery (I’ll spare you the gory details) business has continued as usual due to the quality support we have.

As you will see from below E³ Consulting has had another very busy quarter with a diverse range of projects across the UK. Recent new wins include three major student accommodation projects totalling over 2,000 individual student bedrooms. CIL projects include a number of social housing exemptions and advisory projects – simply ‘shedding light’ on these complex regulations to steer an appropriate path through for homeowners and developers.

Our team is also busy working on various Capital Allowances projects including numerous GP surgeries across the South West and South Wales; development of new car dealerships and refurbishment of older premises to refresh the ‘brand standards’.

Additionally, we have been instructed on a new hotel project in Wiltshire and a care home acquisition in Herefordshire.

Whilst we didn’t scoop the top prize at the Accounting Excellence Awards in September, the team had a great night at the gala dinner, hosted by comedienne Katherine Ryan, celebrating a well-deserved nomination within the Top 5 Specialist Firms.

Despite regular statements from Government about ‘simplifying tax’, our experience is that rules continue to get more complex. Thus meeting the Senior Accounting Officer requirements or reducing your Business Tax Risk profile and complying with the tax legislation merits regular input from advisors to keep current, up to date and robust and rigorous with your tax strategy and delivery
