At this seminar, we discussed a range of topics regarding Property Taxation and wider Tax Policy. We were pleased to have Stephen Herring, Head of Taxation at the IoD, as our guest speaker.

Guest Speaker: Stephen Herring, Head of Taxation, Institute of Directors
Stephen is Head of Taxation in the Institute of Directors' Policy Unit. Additionally, he is one of the ten independent members of HM Treasury's Tax Professionals Forum. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Taxation having qualified with Arthur Andersen in Manchester. The IoD has over twenty-seven thousand individual members and is frequently consulted by HM Treasury, HM Revenue & Customs and other government departments on proposals |
which would impact businesses from global corporations and listed UK companies to SMEs.
Stephen graduated from Manchester University with an honours degree in Economics & Politics and has specialised in taxation for over thirty five years. Before joining the IoD in September 2013, he was a partner in three global accounting firms (Grant Thornton, Ernst & Young and BDO) for thirty years.
