Kate Tuckett

Role

Kate is a full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) having full qualified in 2010 and a licenced bookkeeper. Kate’s role is to drive our bookkeeping & accounts forward, ensuring the consistent and efficient running of our finance function. She has already implemented our migration to Xero, the leading cloud-based accounting software, and introducing new processes to integrate and automate record keeping using OCR and other fintech software, as may be appropriate.

Experience

The majority of Kate’s experience comes from working for the leading housing association Spectrum Housing Group (now Sovereign Housing) where she was in charge of the finance function for its direct labour organisation, Spectrum Property Care. More recently, Kate thoroughly enjoyed 4 years working for Checkatrade.com as a part time Financial Accountant, where she processed and analysed information for the subsidiary companies, producing management and year end accounts. She also worked closely with the Finance Director for six months of intense due diligence work which ultimately led to the sale of the company in 2017.

Personal

Kate lives in rural Dorset with her husband Matthew and their eight year old daughter, Lucy. When not pouring over numbers, she enjoys lots of walking with their adorable Boxer dogs, Pepper & Luna, as well as gardening and travel.
