Elliott makes a difference

The team at E³ Consulting has bid a sad farewell to Elliott Harries who has come to the end of his three-month contract.

Over the summer, his fresh eyes have been invaluable to the company, supporting us to improve our customer relationship management (CRM) systems to help us work more closely and productively with our clients and wider business relationships.

Elliott graduated from the University of York with a Master's Degree in Chemistry, before spending seven years split between being a business analyst working for a larger firm and as ski and snowboard instructor across New Zealand and Japan.

Elliott looks back at his time with us:

“I’ve learned property tax isn’t just something for developers and real estate investors, but can affect ordinary homeowners, farmers and SMEs. I heard about so many people who hadn’t been given accurate information and now faced large tax bills, problems that could have been avoided by getting the right advice in the first place.

“The professional and friendly team at E³ helped me to develop a wide range of skills and discover new areas of interest, providing a glimpse of what it’s like to run a business. From one day to the next, I’ve been involved in varied tasks such as drawing up a new marketing campaign, improving data processes, looking at the opportunities of AI and arranging the logistics for an upcoming conference.

“At E³, no idea is a bad idea. Alun and his colleagues encouraged me to consider every scenario and make suggestions to achieve the best possible result for our clients. I’ve enjoyed working with them and hope I’ve made a difference.”

Elliott will now spend six months travelling before starting his career as an officer in the British Army.

Alun Oliver, E³ Consulting Managing Director said, “Elliott has been a real ‘breath of fresh air’; he’s been so engaged and proactive we have truly had a great experience and support from him over the last few months.  We’d dearly love to keep him in the team!  But recognise he has a long-held desire to serve in the army and wish him every success at Sandhurst and beyond.  He has been a joy to work with and will be missed by all of the team.”
