The arena comprises a sports and concert arena, two office premises, retail unit, basement void and a multi-storey car parking facility, all on a single campus site.

E3 Consulting was appointed to assess the capitalised costs among the appropriate property classes, estimating the allowable tax depreciation to be realised. E3 worked closely with the client’s accountant to reconcile the project costs to their ledgers and undertook a detailed site survey in assessing the tax relief available.

Tax relief identified - £8.5m (or US$15.4m) categorised as personal property subject to accelerated tax depreciation yielding a 20% increase in tax savings.

Finance Director:

'E3 Consulting provided a fantastic service, undertaking a detailed site survey and working in a timely manner to conclude their findings and provide a comprehensive cost segregation claim report that supported our tax depreciation claim under US tax rules – yielding significant tax savings.'
