E3 Consulting’s Marketing and HR Executive, Zoe Toseland, has recently been awarded Chartered Manager status from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This follows Zoe having completed her Chartered Manager accreditation after studying on the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) at Solent University.

Ann Francke, CEO at CMI, commented:

“CMI is delighted to award Zoe the highest professional status, Chartered Manager. Raising the quality of management skills is essential to the wellbeing and productivity of the British workforce. Unqualified, accidental managers mean that four in ten of us rate our line managers as ineffective. Professionally trained managers such as Zoe improve business performance and operations.”

The Chartered Manager accreditation is designed to equip managers with the professional capability to drive and lead better organisations. CMI’s 2015 Mapping Management Excellence research revealed Chartered Managers add value to their companies through developing new products or services and improving operational efficiencies, through far higher levels of productivity. As individuals, Chartered Managers gain increased confidence, self-awareness and add an average of £341,443 in value to their employers.

Zoe was also able to undertake the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) as a fast track apprenticeship. This meant she was able to complete the course in a consolidated eighteen months instead of the usual four years, since it recognised prior learning developed in the work place. This was highly positive in terms of aligning with E3’s business requirements and an effective way of learning in recognition of the knowledge and skills she already had; and schedule in consolidated three day weekends to be more conducive to business practicalities and workflows.

Nicky Oliver, Director of E3 Consulting commented:

“Congratulations to Zoe on being awarded Chartered Manager status, and thoroughly well desired after all the effort she had put in. As a business we have always encouraged our staff to widen their horizons, develop their Personal and professional development & technical skills in a commercial and applied manner.”

Zoe Toseland reflected:

“I’ve very much enjoyed undertaking the Chartered Manager accreditation having been part of one of the first cohorts in the UK to complete the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, as Solent University. It’s a great sense of achievement to know that everything’s completed and that I’ve now got Chartered Manager status. It was great to have such a supportive employer through the whole two years of study, and whilst it was a lot of work it was also very rewarding and genuinely interesting. I definitely got a lot out of the experience and have a chance to put into practise the skills that I have learnt and to further apply the knowledge and skills into E3 Consulting.”
